WOw, I suck at the game lately. FOr some reason, I had trouble clearing the elite four the second time in OR. I think I'm losing my touch.

I actually read that in my head as my Jot line commenting on the Changeling's... "Record" ability.

I'm actually a VGC battler. Attended the Midwest Regionals the last 2 years, and am apparently top 50 in the region... Well, of those that came to the tournament in the Masters [18+] Division. My team consists of Cheops [Cofagrigus] Maxwell [Mawile] Jenna [Gyarados] Gooze [Goodra] Scarlett [Scolipede] and Bardrick [Barbaracle]. I managed to take third place in a local Convention's impromptu SMOGON OU 6V6 Singles tournament with said team, and beat the 2nd place in an exhibition battle afterwards. Winner had a Heatran, I couldn't take the loss seriously. But my most impressive feat is the ABSOLUTE COMPLETION of the Pokédex. I have one of every Pokémon from Bulbasaur to Hoopa [No Volcanion yet, no legitimate means to obtain yet] All 28 Unown, All 20 Vivillon, All 15 Flabébé/Floette/Florges, All 8 Deerling/Sawsbuck, All 6 Burmy/Wormadam, All 4 Shellos/Gastrodon, Both Basculin, All of Rotom's Formes, and every Sexual Dimorphism [Gender Difference] from Venusaur to Pyroar. This crown jewel of Pokémania I call my Perfect Pokédex Plus. I've been completing the National Pokédex since I picked the series back up with Generation 3 Part 2 in 2008 with FireRed version, reigniting my childhood passion as an adolescent. Now as a young adult, I stand in the top tier of Pokémaniacs... Wanna be the very best, like no one ever was? Complete the greatest Completionist Challenge in Video Gaming history? You can do it! I did it, and so can you! Stay determined, Trainers! Over achiever, lol!

So, here comes the big question... What is it that endears the Franchise to you guys and gals? I'm afraid if I started, the list'd never stop...

And you thought right, muahahaha uvu
I just like the franchise 'cuz of it's cutsieness. A friend actually got me on it about 3 years ago, because he gave me his copy of Black 2. I tried it out and it was pretty good (though I only won through sheer luck, my sets were TERRIBLE), and eventually, I grew to find out about Pokemon Showdown. Now I battle somewhat competitively, and I'm pretty good at it!
Not really, that was a lie, I suck.

I got some cards for my birthday one year, played it off and on, then got tiered of it and stopped it collecting and playing, mostly.

I used to be one of the best VGC players in the state of Utah. Now it seems everyone plays VGC around here, and almost everyone is better than me. I used to be able to hold my own and even beat Nikolai Zielinski (the 2014 Senior World Champion). Now I'm lucky if I can even take out one of his Pokémon.
Now with my apparent degrading skills, I've joined the Professor Program and mostly staff events. When I'm lucky enough to get the day off, that is.
