Hey guys! So I wrote this short little story about DW&A and I wanted to share it here. It's based on an idea I had... Hope you guys enjoy. If you have some criticism, that would always be appreciated ^-^
The Doctor was at it again, flipping switches and pressing buttons in no discenerable or comprehensible order. This time, he practiced very little restraint. It was TARDIS Day, a holiday the Doctor made up for himself. Every TARDIS Day, the Doctor would spend his time getting familiar with the controls on the TARDIS console. That way, he would learn how to use the TARDIS properly and get it to go exactly where he wanted to be. Nothing was off limits.
As you can probably imagine, a day of random button pressing doesn't go unnoticed.
"Uh, Doctor?" Derpy walked in sounding rather confuzzled, "What's with the lights?"
The lights in the TARDIS were flickering on and off at two second intervals. A screaming Tick Tock fell on top of Derpy, seemingly falling from the ceiling.
"What happened to my room?!" Tick Tock yelled.
His tools and contraptions followed suit, and rained from the ceiling. Tick Tock covered his head.
The Doctor looked behind him and saw his companions give him disapproving stares.
"Oh!" he laughed. "I probably should've told you guys what day it is."
"Wednesday?" Derpy tilted her head.
"I hope it's maintenance day." Tick Tock scoffed.
"No, no, no!" the Doctor grinned. "It's TARDIS Day!"
"TARDIS Day?" Derpy and Tick Tock said in unison. Almost as if they'd rehearsed.
The Doctor nodded. "Today's the day I play with all the controls and see what they do. Like this one!"
The Doctor played with a knob. The farther he turned left, the more frigid it became, and the farther right he turned it, the more searing.
"The TARDIS has a thermostat! Isn't that splendid?!"
