Oh! And my brother finally learned how to make his own bassoon reeds last week. He kept telling me that ones you buy at common music stores usually required tweaking if their even all that good in the first place. I never envied that part of woodwind instruments. I just buy a couple mouthpieces and I'm set for decades.

The anime is actually pretty good. I was surprised. It takes a somewhat strange shift away from the original seeing as it's more of a space opera in the anime but at it's core it's the same story and almost as impacting as the movie. The textures aren't mapped to the shape and lead to really cool effects. It's basically just empty shapes put over specific textures as they move around. I'd recommend it to anyone that likes anime and the basic story of The Counte of Monte Cristo.

There are a few surprises and liberties the anime takes that I actually really enjoyed and a couple I was just confused about but overall it was good. Be prepared for some narration though. It's necessary in a few parts and not so much in a couple others.

It's necessary in a few parts and not so much in a couple others. I've not watched too much anime beyond Attack on Titan... but I'm quite a fan of the Metal Gear Solid games, so I've got a bit of tolerance for a narrative taking longer than it perhaps needs to.

Then you'll have no problem with this. It definitely doesn't fall into most of the major pitfalls some animes have trouble with. Sometimes I forget how story and narration heavy Metal Gear can be though.
