This is what happens when I'm too lazy to procrastinate properly. Done in about two days.
With apologies to ShumaiAxeman, whose theme was mercilessly chopped up to make this intro.

I actually like this one a lot better. (not that I disliked the other ones)

Personally, I like you're other intro better. You can hear some issues with the song in this one.

It's based on the intros from the latter Tom Baker seasons through to Colin Baker, as you've noticed. It's missing some visual elements, though - I tried to put in the Doctor's face from some Google Image results but it looked off, somehow. Maybe I could ask someone on here to do a mugshot?
That classic Who typeface, though.

Still working on this where I can. I've been trying to get more use out of Blender's compositor. Here's a draft render I've been working on today: And a still at full HD.

Nice! I'm tempted to make a model TARDIS now... If there's any critique it'd be that the TARDIS flies in too much of flat, straight path for the fly-by. Maybe have it pivot slightly back and forth on its axis? It is a rough draft so you could be doing that already. Just thought I'd give suggestions.

If you fancy doing something with a decent normal map I'd certainly use it. I'm also still on the lookout for a mugshot of the Doctor, though. As for the straightness of the flight, I'm not quite sure how to change it. If I have the TARDIS spiralling I lose the close fly-by, and having a small jiggle would look... silly. I suppose if I had it coming out of a vortex it would look quite similar to Tom Baker's first intro:
