Recently posted a new novel based off MPL FIM and Doctor Whooves, and the characters in Pony with Pockets in particular (although they don't show up until midway through the story). I didn't originally intend it to be a crossover story until around the middle, but Derpy and Dr Whooves play a major role in the story ever since. I'm interested in some feedback on the story. Considering I am basing a few of the characters from Dr Whooves and Assistant, are they ever out of character? If so I'm willing to edit the original story a little bit. I can also use feedback on spelling and grammar. I do spell check it but sometimes use the wrong word (example, your and you're). Anyway, hope you all enjoy it. Let me know about it either as a review on the website below or maybe reply to this thread.
It's a full length novel. 530 pages in 12 point font and 30 chapters, not including preface, prologue and epilogue. Most of the story is close to G rated until the villains show up, then it skyrockets to R rating for as long as they are there but not for language or sexual content but for gory violence and/or creep factor, though they can have humor and redeemable qualities too. Being true to the original source material, this is the silliest story I've ever written, but it had to be in a universe with functional cartoon physics.
Story Synopsis: Star Breeze recently had her birthday and wants to learn how to become a spellcasting pegasus. To do something like that, which normally would be considered impossible, she endeavors to ask her father how he became the worlds first flying unicorn. As he tells his story, Star Breeze gets more then she bargained for. Not only does she learn how he once defied the impossible, but also how he helped save many worlds throughout all of time and space (with a little help, of course).
